Dr. Mike Ludovico
After a shoulder injury interrupted training for a powerlifting event, I began to receive chiropractic care. Within several treatments, I was back to training. That began my path to becoming a chiropractor. After graduation from Palmer Chiropractic College West, I opened Westside Chiropractic in 1998. Over these many years, I have had the opportunity to help thousands of people improve their health and wellness through chiropractic care. The small office of just my wife and myself, has grown significantly.
I live in San Mateo with my wife and 3 children. While I enjoy my life’s work and research in the field of chiropractic, that’s not all I do. I really cherish and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. On weekends I coach my children in sports or attend their various activities. While our family is diverse and active, we never forget to spend those “do nothing” moments together…just enjoying our family. In between, I enjoy power-lifting, building custom motorcycles, and competing in both areas. I also enjoy participating in various community events and activities on the peninsula. Friends are always treasured. Between school, work and family, it’s always great to make time for our friends and experience this wonderful time with others.
To your health,
Dr. Kyle Taketa
My experience with chiropractic began as a child when my grandmother took me to her chiropractor to see if he could help with my asthma. Within several adjustments, my asthma was resolved. As a result, my parents and younger brother began chiropractic care as well. It became a regular part of my life and eventually it would become my career of choice.
I am a Bay Area native, born and raised in San Jose and currently reside in San Mateo with my wife and two children. I love spending time with my family and friends, following the Sharks, 49ers and Giants and working on and riding motorcycles.

My experience with chiropractic care goes way back to when I would go to the chiropractor with my father. As a kid your father is on the same level as Superman, indestructible. However year’s prior a car accident left him with permanent back injuries that left him in a great deal of pain. I can vividly remember the look of relief on his face after each visit and I was in awe! After many years of baseball and golf, I suffered from a rotator cuff injury and constant low back tightness. Within a few visits, I too finally got to experience the power of chiropractic care. From that day forward I knew becoming a chiropractor was in my future.
Prior to graduating in 2015 from Palmer College of Chiropractic West, I was fortunate enough to become a part of the Westside Chiropractic team as a preceptor and intern doctor through the mentoring of Dr. Kyle Taketa.
I’m thoroughly fascinated with the body’s ability to heal itself! As a doctor of chiropractic I get to help mediate a drug-free, surgery free path to natural healing. My goal with every one of my patients is to work as a team and achieve optimal health and wellness to ensure a happy, healthy and pain free lifestyle.
I’ve lived on the peninsula most of my life and am originally from upstate New York. If you don’t find me at the office, you might catch me on the tee-box, as I’m an avid golfer or maybe boarding a flight somewhere as I love to travel. During the baseball season I spend a good amount of time at AT&T Park or on the diamond myself as a youth baseball coach. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends at home around the grill.
